Poletto Italian Restaurant & Winebar, Hamburg, Germany

by Tobias
(Frankfurt, Germany)

Poletto Italian restaurant in Hamburg is one of the coziest places I have ever been to.

I went there in June 2009 and enjoyed a great evening.

It's not cheap (not too expensive either), but the food is definitely worth every cent. It's just wonderful Italian cuisine; not a typical pizza/pasta place, but rather the gourmet version of Italian cuisine.

They have even been awarded a Michelin star and the head chef has her own cooking show on German television. However, you will find yourself in an extremely relaxed atmosphere in a rather small and family-run restaurant.

This is not an ultra-luxury place (even if situated in one of Hamburg's poshest quarters), but, as I mentioned already, very cozy, with extremely friendly staff and many regulars visiting again and again... and with good cause!
