Pasta widths of pasta machines for cake decorating

I would like to buy a pasta machine to use for cutting ribbons or strips in sugarpaste for cake decorating. Does such a machine have various widths to allow me to do this?

If it does can you tell me what the sizes are please?

Regards,

Ruth.

Answer: Hi Ruth - your standard manual pasta rolling machines (like this Imperia and this Atlas) are typically supplied with two cutting attachments. These are for long pasta, and usually cut tagliatelle/fettuccine (I reckon around .5cm or 1/5th of an inch wide) and spaghetti (much thinner of course).

Having said that, you can buy a range of additional cutting attachments for these machines for chopping different width long pasta (in your case sugarpaste).

I hope that's helpful.

Matt.
