Pasta Pot: Mario Batali 6-Quart Italian Essentials Pot

by Matt
(Pasta Recipes Made Easy)

This beautiful pasta pot in classic Chianti red is a perfect for couples and small families looking to boil up succulent pasta, casseroles, rice, soups and more.

Unless most of the stainless steel pasta pans in this guide, this Mario Batali model is made from strong cast iron.

Aside from being bomb-proof, this material retains heat very well, meaning if you will bringing the pot to serve at the table (and why wouldn't you - it's gorgeous!), guests will never have to deal with half-cold portions.

Useable with gas, electric and even ceramic stoves and ranges, this pan comes with a 16-page Batali cookbook and is both functional and a truly beautiful product.

Just one word of caution - be careful not to bang this type of pot around (and hand-wash it), as such products can sometimes chip.
