Pasta Pot: Anolon 12-Quart Covered Pasta Set

by Matt
(Pasta Recipes Made Easy)

This quality set is designed specifically for cooking and quickly draining pasta, as it includes a quality 12 quart stockpot with lid and a stainless steel pasta insert (allowing you to pull out your cooked pasta without need for a colander/sieve).

Like many pots in its class, this Anolon model is made largely from life-lasting stainless steel, with thick aluminum in the core of its base to help heat transfer evenly across the bottom of the pan.

It's comfy to pick up too, thanks to its ergonomic HollowCore handles, which are riveted to ensure they last a lifetime.

In terms of its quality vs price ratio, this set is very much a quality mid-range offering - it's not a cheap value player, but it does cost a bunch less than many of its pricier competitors.

Final thought: if there are only two of you at home, you may find that 12 quarts is too large a capacity. At this size you do needs lots of water in there, which takes time to boil, before the pasta insert is fully covered.
