by Barbara Stewart

I have lasagna all layered in a freezable dish and not sure if I freeze it before it is cooked or after it is cooked... ?

Cook, stand, freeze
by: Matt - Pasta Recipes Made Easy

Hi Barbara,

We always cook the lasagna and then let it cool for a good while before freezing it.

The reason is simple - lasagna tends to take on a more stable, secure form when cooked and cooled, whereas the layers and ingredients of an uncooked lasagna can slide around a lot in the freezer drawer.

You'll find more info over on this freezing lasagna page.

Hope that helps,

Matt.
