Old World Charm at Canestaro
Canestaro Italian Restaurant is just a five-minute walk from famous Fenway Park in Boston, adjacent to the majestic old brownstones on Peterborough street.
The owner Steven Canestaro takes great pride in using the freshest and tastiest ingredients for his mouthwatering Italian cuisine.
He's also a neat freak. When he gave me the kitchen tour it looked so clean you could eat off the floor!
Oh...... and the food!
The Antipasto Canestaro and Caprese Salad (my favorites) are simply to die for, and the Chicken Parmesan rivals any that I have ever tasted.
For meat lovers like myself, there is a selection of char-broiled burgers that will satisfy the most discerning burger aficionado. I know... I've had them!
Specialty Pizzas and Calzones are available with more choices of toppings than I've ever seen.
Sandwiches, seafood dishes, Italian classics, charbroiled entrees, and delightfully decadent desert offerings round out one this varied and complete menu.
Canestaro also offers a selection of ice-cold bottled beers, specialty drinks and Martinis, fine wines, coffee drinks, and assorted beverages as well.
I could go on, but I'm getting hungrier as I write this.
