Can I make farfalle with wine? How?

by Manuel Franqui
(Puerto Rico)

I want to know a great recipe with wine and how much to use please!

Answer:

Hi Manuel,

There are several meaty pasta sauces on my site that include red wine (white wine seafood sauces are typically eaten more with long pasta shapes).

Here are my Top 3 you should try... (each includes details of how much wine to use):

1. Bolognese sauce - great for short pasta such as farfalle.

2. Pasta puttanesca - packed with tasty olives

3. Ragu-lite - a really sumptuous choice

Also, I highly recommend making fresh farfalle pasta shapes next time around. You'll be glad you did!

Hope that helps Manuel - ciao,

Matt.
