Bice Italian Restaurant, Dubai, UAE

If you're ever heading to Dubai, don't miss Bice. In my opinion, it's easily the best Italian restaurant in the city.

Located inside the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah hotel (in Dubai Marina), this large 100+ person restaurant oozes pure class decor-wise, and the light piano background music is never obtrusive.

The staff - including the attentive and super-jolly Italian maître d' - are quick-smart, helpful, and fully knowledgeable about the entire menu...

... and that menu is just superb. Taking in dishes from across Italy (including some of the tastiest and most filling pasta dishes I've eaten), it contains treats a plenty, and they're cooked in a way that even keeps the Italian customers happy!

As for the wine list, this is packed to overflowing with quality sippage. (For a decent medium-priced Italian red, go for the Villa Antinori chianti.)

When we lived in Dubai, we went to Bice every month - either by ourselves or with guests... it's just that good. Expect to pay 250-500 dirhams per couple (inc. medium wine).
